About this role
The Role
- As part of the site operational group, shaft operations you will be responsible for:
- Operating, inspecting and maintaining the main cage and skip conveyance.
- Preparing equipment and materials to be moved to/from the underground using slings and rigging.
- Operating equipment such as Telehandlers and skid steer loader.
- Working with a diverse workforce (Cameco employees, contractors, and trades personnel).
Required
- grade 12 diploma, or equivalent;
- a minimum of four years of underground mining industry experience;
- a minimum of three years of mine shaft maintenance experience;
- willing to work in confined spaces;
- able to work at heights using fall arrest;
- excellent communication/computer skills; and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
