Part-Time Registered Nurse Diabetes Management / Diabetes Educator
Stapleford Medical Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-Time Registered Nurse Diabetes Management / Diabetes Educator to provide high-quality, patient-centred care through comprehensive education, clinical management, and ongoing monitoring for patients with prediabetes, Type 1, and Type 2 diabetes.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and update diabetes care protocols and work standards in collaboration with Physician Lead(s) and the care team.
Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with diabetes or at risk of developing diabetes, including medical history, lifestyle factors, and risk stratification.
Provide individualized diabetes education, including:
Blood glucose monitoring and interpretation
Qualifications
Current registration and good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent nursing degree.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS an asset).
Minimum 23 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in primary care or chronic disease management.
Demonstrated experience in diabetes care and patient education.
Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation is strongly preferred.
