About this role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and forward-thinking Program and Marketing Coordinator to drive our digital systems, and provide behind-the-scenes support to grow our recreational programs and community events. You won't be creating programs from scratch; you'll be turning the club's plans into action, keeping things moving and flagging what needs attention.
HOURS EXPECTATIONS
September-March. This is a task-oriented role with a flexible schedule rather than set weekly hours. We care about the results, not how or when you get them done!
These tasks usually take 15-20 hours a month during standard periods, and around 30-40 hours/month during peak times (like October registration and big bonspiel months in February and March). If you love setting up your own efficient workflow from home, this is perfect for you.
Remote, work-from-home role. Occasional on-site time may be needed for program touchpoints, but this is not a front-desk or in-person staffing role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Digital Systems & Communications: Manage the club's Wix website and Curling I/O registration platform, and handle member digital communications.
- Marketing & Promotion: Execute marketing plans and run the club's Facebook/Instagram accounts (using our branded Canva templates) to drive registrations and engagement. Be the digital point of contact for bonspiel and program promotion.
- Program & Volunteer Logistics: Confirm volunteer instructor coverage ahead of programming, and flag decisions, deadlines, or logistics gaps that could affect program success.
- Tracking & Reporting: Keep a running list of upcoming program decisions for the board, and flag trends or opportunities that should be brought to the board.
COMPENSATION
$1,000-$1,300/month, commensurate with experience.
This is a defined seasonal role, with room to grow. Duties (and compensation) can be adjusted by mutual agreement.
