Superior Farm Equipment Ltd. brings together the rich legacies and expertise of Rite Way Manufacturing and Morris Equipment Ltd., two western Canadian companies dedicated to providing quality, performance-based equipment for farmers worldwide.
We are recruiting to fill a Production Welder position who can work well with and without supervision at a production pace to join our team at our Manufacturing facility in Regina, SK. The shift is Monday Thursday, 10 hour days/nights rotation.
JOB DUTIES
Read,interpret & review blueprints or welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments & manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Maintain safe work practices
Monitor parts usage & report on any material issues
Other assigned work as required
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma,GED or equivalent relevant experience
Experience Production Line Welding an asset
Ability to work independently in a busy environment
Experience with routine maintenance operations
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Able to work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Interact with co-workers in a sensitive,tactful, diplomatic & professionally manner at all times
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (can be attained after hiring) include Crane safe operating training,Safe rigging training,Forklift license a& WHMIS training
WORK CONDITIONS
Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs
Regular light physical effort(bending,reaching,carrying light items,walking,standing) & Occasional heavy physical effort(carrying,lifting or pushing heavy items)
Requirement for visual effort,manual dexterity & coordination
Limited travel to off-site locations
Overtime as required
Hazards associated with the trade
Work both indoors and outdoors
