Pet Nutrition Sales Associate

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be available to work shifts between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and two weekends per month.

JOB DUTIES

Greet customers and help them select suitable food, treats, supplements and pet supplies

Answer customer questions and provide friendly, knowledgeable service

Learn about pet nutrition, wellness and the products carried in the store

Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer purchases

Receive, unpack and stock merchandise

Lift and move bags and boxes weighing more than 50 lb or approximately 23 kg

Organize shelves and maintain attractive product displays

Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory tasks

Keep the sales floor, checkout area and stock areas clean and organized

Work cooperatively with other team members

Perform other retail duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

Must be available between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Must be available two weekends per month

Must be physically able to repeatedly lift more than 50 lb

Friendly, dependable and customer-focused

Comfortable approaching customers and offering assistance

Able to follow instructions and work independently

Willing to learn about pet nutrition and wellness

Retail or customer-service experience is an asset

Knowledge of dogs, cats or pet products is an asset
