About this role
NutraSun Foods is currently seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our team as Packaging Operator at our plant in Regina, SK. The individual plays a key role in the milling process that is the core of our business. Reporting to the Production Manager, key areas of responsibilities are bagging flour, filling totes, metal and lot code verification, and stacking bagged product.
Responsibilities
Operate bag and toting equipment.
Perform metal detector checks and verification of lot code on finished product.
Follow the production schedule to meet customer orders.
Complete all documentation according to standard operating procedure.
Maintain a high degree of personal and workspace hygiene to meet all GMP, QAI, ISO, HACCP and CCP requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Complete assigned work orders and enter work order requests into the computerized computer maintenance system (CMMS).
Assist teammates on shift, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by Production Manager
Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous experience in a food manufacturing setting is an asset.
Excellent communication skills.
