Night Shift Worker

Cumberland Villas is currently seeking a dependable and responsible individual to join our team as a part-time Night-Shift Worker.

Cumberland Villas is an independent-living seniors residence committed to providing residents with a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment. The Night-Shift Worker plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and security of the building throughout the night.

The successful applicant will work

Every Friday night

Every other Saturday and Sunday night

Additional shifts may occasionally become available to cover vacations, illnesses or other absences.

Compensation and Benefits

A night-shift premium will be paid in addition to the regular hourly wage

Part-time benefits will be available after successfully completing six months of employment

Duties may include

Completing assigned cleaning and housekeeping tasks throughout the building

Cleaning and sanitizing common areas, washrooms and other designated spaces

Completing regular checks of the building during the night

Helping maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents

Responding appropriately to concerns or unexpected situations

Reporting maintenance, safety or resident concerns to management

Completing required nightly documentation

Communicating professionally with residents, coworkers and management

Completing other assigned duties as required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will

Be dependable, punctual and able to work independently

Be comfortable working alone during overnight hours

Be comfortable responding to medical alerts

Have strong attention to detail and good time-management skills

Be able to remain calm and use good judgment when unexpected situations arise
