McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the worlds largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Position and Responsibilities
- Under the mentorship of our experienced construction and production miners, you will:
- Assist with underground construction, production drilling, backfilling, and general clean-up.
- Train to operate a wide range of underground mobile equipment.
- Learn the overall mining processes and follow all work instructions and procedures.
- Provide support to the mining department as required.
Education and Qualifications
- Requirements of the position:
- grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
- valid class 5 drivers license;
- excellent safety and attendance record;
- good reading, writing and communication skills; and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets
- Previous underground work experience
