Millwright/Welder - Maintenance Team

Job Description

• Responsible for the effective operation of the mechanical systems and taking the initiative to repair equipment that requires attention to prevent downtime
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
• Installation or assembly of machinery and equipment
• Completing Preventative Maintenance Work Orders by assigned completion date
• Keep all maintenance areas clean and in order
• Responsible for your own tools at all times
• Responsible for following company HACCP policies and procedures to ensure product quality
• Carry out all duties in a safe manner
• Read and understand manuals and troubleshooting procedures on new equipment
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Millwright certification or registered apprenticeship would be considered a strong asset
• TIG-welding experience would be considered a strong asset.
• Mechanicallly inclined, salary based on experience/certifications
• Must be available for multiple shift rotations including day, mid-week, afternoons and night.
• Must have a proven track record of good attendance
• Must be physically fit
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to understand both verbal and written English

Salary: $25.78 - $41.81 per hour (dependent on level of certification, example:  Red-seal Journeyperson

Shift Premium:  $0.90 per hour
