Job Description
- Responsible for the effective operation of the mechanical systems and taking the initiative to repair equipment that requires attention to prevent downtime
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
- Installation or assembly of machinery and equipment
- Completing Preventative Maintenance Work Orders by assigned completion date
- Keep all maintenance areas clean and in order
- Responsible for your own tools at all times
- Responsible for following company HACCP policies and procedures to ensure product quality
- Carry out all duties in a safe manner
- Read and understand manuals and troubleshooting procedures on new equipment
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Millwright certification or registered apprenticeship would be considered a strong asset
- TIG-welding experience would be considered a strong asset.
- Mechanicallly inclined, salary based on experience/certifications
- Must be available for multiple shift rotations including day, mid-week, afternoons and night.
- Must have a proven track record of good attendance
- Must be physically fit
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to understand both verbal and written English
Salary: $25.78 - $41.81 per hour (dependent on level of certification, example: Red-seal Journeyperson
Shift Premium: $0.90 per hour
