About this role
MACHINE OPERATOR - MANUFACTURING
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Machine Operator is responsible to set up, calibrate and operate the machine. The Machine Operator performs quality control inspections on production as per Company specifications.
Operates machine producing quality product meeting Company Specifications.
Changes machine dies as required for production.
Performs daily inspections and service machine as per Company service guidelines.
Maintains machine in a clean condition and performs routine maintenance.
Maintains a clean, uncluttered and safe work area as designated.
Performs preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment as directed.
Determines and corrects complex machine malfunctions.
Assists with training other machine operators and material handlers.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent mature student diploma with good skills in reading, writing and math.
Some experience in a manufacturing environment, an asset.
Abilities and Skills
Demonstrated use of personal protective clothing and equipment.
Mechanically inclined.
Must be a team player willing to take direction and suggest efficiencies.
Ability to safely operate power equipment.
Ability to understand metric and imperial measurements.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES ROTATING SHIFTS: 2 weeks of day shift - 8am to 8pm, 2 weeks of night shift - 8pm to 8am.
