Job Summary
SEDA is looking for a responsible and organized person tohelp coordinate the delivery of educational programming related to law, legal advocacy, and debate. This position is funded through a Saskatchewan Law Foundation Grant with the aim of increasing participants' understanding of legal concepts and the justice system and building confidence in discussing and analyzing legal issues. The coordinator will be responsible for supporting 4 - 6 events, including legal education workshops and law-themed competitions.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support the delivery of legal education debate workshops for students in grades 5-12 by managing logistics.
Manage outreach to legal professionals and law students for program support
Develop resources that support educators and students in law-related learning through debate
Support development and administration of pre- and post-program assessments
Travel may be required
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum1 year university education
Reliableandorganized
Access to laptop/tablet and internet connection
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with children or youth leadership
Experience with legal education
Speech or debate experience preferred
As you will be in a position of authority over children, a successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check will be required.
