Land Based Coordinator

General Description

The coordinator will develop programs that involve Pre K  8 students, Elders, teachers, elders and community members.  The Land Based Coordinator will co-deliver programs in local outdoor settings in a way that honors Indigenous cree values and ways of learning.  The programming will provide a culture-based approach to learning and activities.

Desired Qualifications

Cree Cultural Knowledge & a degree in education

Be able to plan, implement and report on a land based program for Pre K to grade 8

Successful experience with a land based program

• cree language an asset

Be physically active and able to meet the demands of all year round outdoor activities

Be innovative and culturally sensitive as needed

1. Highest Level of Education & Certificates;
2. Experience in cultural background and protocols;
3. Experience in leadership;
4. Experience working in a cultural capacity for a First Nation community;
5. Experience developing and overseeing a cultural program

7. Own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid drivers license.

access to a private vehicle is required and submission of a Driver's Abstract.
