Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Reading Plans: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building codes to calculate project needs.Framing and Structure: Build foundations, floor beams, sub flooring, walls, and roof systems.Installation: Fit and install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.Maintenance: Repair and renovate structures in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.Mentorship: Instruct and supervise apprentices on job sites.Qualifications and Requirements Certification: Completion of a formal apprenticeship program and a valid Journeyman or Red Seal Certificate.Experience: Typically 3 to 5 years of verified hands-on trade experience.Safety Training: Standard certifications such as WHMIS, First Aid, and Working at Heights.Physical Fitness: Ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions
