Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic

TLF Dirtworx Inc., a dynamic & growing heavy construction and earthworks company, located at Mozart, SK is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and energetic heavy-duty mechanic for our maintenance shop.

This position works as part of our team, performing maintenance and repairs to our fleet of heavy-duty construction equipment, highway trucks and trailers, and light work trucks.

Responsibilities/Skills

• Adjust, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance
• Work independently and as part of the maintenance team
• Assist with prioritizing and planning upcoming work
• Communicate clearly with other workers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Help maintain inventory of stocked parts & supplies
• Attention to detail in diagnosis, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to work closely with other workers
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Adapt to changes, and be flexible
• Participate in COR certified safety program
• Follow safe work practices and procedures, and preventative maintenance program
• Industry experience as heavy-duty mechanic
• Have welding experience, both general and structural components
• Use power, air, and hand tools as required
• Operate diagnostic and scanning tools
• Able to perform manual labour for repairs and adjustments, including heavy lifting up to 100lbs
• When necessary, travel to worksites in our fully equipped service truck for diagnosis, repair, or general equipment maintenance.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Operate heavy equipment, highway trucks and trailers, and light trucks for diagnosis, repair, and testing.

This position is M-F, 40 hrs/week.  Overtime may be required on a need to basis.
