About this role
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate and maintain municipal heavy equipment and vehicles
- Perform road grading, maintenance, and repairs during the summer months
- Perform snow and ice removal and winter road maintenance
- Assist with Public Works activities and projects as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Public Works
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with municipal policies and procedures
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including:
- Motor grader
- Loader
- Tandem gravel truck
- Tractor/mower
- Skid-steer
- Other related heavy equipment
A minimum Class 5 driver's licence is required. A Class 1A driver's licence is considered a definite asset.
The successful candidate must be able to perform the duties of the position safely and effectively and demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety.
