As Finance Manager, you will
- Provide leadership, accounting and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization.
- Support the senior executive team by demonstrating strong financial expertise and professional advice. Provide financial insights and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including margin and variance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits and external reporting requirements for locations in Canada, USA and offshore.
- Oversee and assist accounting employees, processes and activities.
- Gain proficiency in utilizing and optimizing the use of the financial ERP software system.
- Collaborate with and build strong relationships with other leaders and managers.
You will bring
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA designation or progress toward CPA is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years experience in a Controller, Finance Manager or senior Finance role, preferably within the manufacturing, industrial services and/or equipment supply sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian financial reporting standards, i.e. ASPE or IFRS, CRA tax compliance, Canadian and U.S. payroll and USA state tax filing compliance.
- Hands on experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Highly motivated and respected financial leader with a proactive mindset and strong information gathering, analytical skills and objective perspective.
