Emergency Shelter Worker

Bruno's Place Emergency Shelter is hiring two Casual Shelter Workers for 12-hour shifts. Shifts are 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am. Only applicants who are available for awake overnight and weekend shifts will be considered. Availability for weekday shifts and short-notice/on-call shifts are also a consideration for employment. Preference will be given to candidates with maximum availability. Starting wage is $19/hr with shift premiums provided for overnight and weekend shifts. Skills needed for this position are: computer skills, janitorial, basic food prep, laundry, knowledge of First Aid/CPR. Experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and mental illness is also considered an asset. Strong English language speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension is also a mandatory job requirement.
