Education Assistants

Job Summary

The Education Assistants will be working under the supervision of the Resource teacher and the Principal of Peepeekisis Pesakastew School and will be responsible for:

Duties & Responsibilities

Providing support to students with Special Needs within the classroom and/or pullout situations;

Providing support to classroom teachers when needed;

Working with the Resource teachers to provide support to students according to the students individual Education Plan;

Scheduled Supervision of students at recess and during noon lunch;

Supervision of students on school outings;

Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Grade 12 and /or Equivalent

Early Childhood Certificate is preferred but not necessary

Physically fit, able to do some heavy lifting

CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to work as part of the team
