Early Childhood Education Instructor

Great Plains College is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic instructor(s) for our Early Childhood Education program at the Maple Creek Program Centre. The instructor will plan, organize and implement an instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages learners to develop and fulfil their academic potential.

Start date: November 3, 2026

End date:  March 23, 2027

Student Contact Days: 12.5

Total Contract Days: 14.25

Qualifications

The ECE Instructor should bring the following qualifications to this position:

• Recognized relevant four-year degree (Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Child and Youth Studies, bachelors in child development).
• Two years recent and relevant experience working in an Early Learning and Childcare Education setting as an Early Childhood Educator/Teacher/ECE Instructor.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
• Effective instructional ability.
• Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
• Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
• Demonstrates Valuing Diversity.
