Director of Communications & Strategic Initiatives

CASK is seeking a talented, hands-on communicator to lead the delivery of our communications and marketing and to advance the strategic initiatives that strengthen our industry positioning.

Reporting to the President & CEO, this role personally delivers member communications, marketing campaigns, and social media content while shaping the strategy behind them. It also involves researching industry and policy issues, learning them quickly, and preparing clear briefing notes and communications that support the CEO's advocacy. Advocacy at CASK is a team effort, and this role produces the branded content the CEO delivers. As the senior leader in our Regina office, this role is also responsible for the smooth running of the office and for building a positive, values-driven culture aligned across all of our locations.

We are looking for a self-starting producer who is intellectually curious, an exceptional writer, and energized by continuous learning. The successful candidate will have strong communications and marketing experience, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience preparing research, briefing notes, or executive summaries is considered an asset. Strong Microsoft Office365 and Canva skills are preferred. Postsecondary education in communications, marketing, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
