Daycare Centre Cook

Pebbles to Rocks Daycare Centre looking for a reliable and enthusiastic full time Cook to join our daycare team.

You will be responsible for preparing well-balanced meals for 40 -50 children aged 18 months - 6 years old.

The job requires the right person chosen to prep and cook meals and snacks for 5 days a week. They will cook from our menu, bake goods, wash and prep fruits and vegetables, and keep track of groceries on our shopping list. Tidy the kitchen after snacks and meals by washing dishes, loading and unloading the dishwasher, putting food away, and wiping down the countertops, cleaning kitchen floors.

Have experience and understanding of the quantities of ingredients to be ordered.

Prepare and serve breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack daily (serving assisted by the staff)

Prepare freezer meals in event you are not available to work

Pre bake snacks (such as cookies, muffins, etc.)

Maintain a sanitary and organized work space

Discard of kitchen garbage and recycling after each shift

Assist director with menu planning when needed

Provide nutritious recipes for homemade meals and snacks

Mandatory Requirements

Possession of or willingness to obtain a Food Safe Handling course

Possession of or willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR

A criminal record search, including a vulnerable sector check
