About this role
The Yorkton KidsFirst Program is seeking a Cultural Navigator to research, develop and implement culturally appropriate and relevant programming for families and staff, with the respect, knowledge and recognition of the diversity of various Indigenous communities. This position requires an individual to have strong facilitation skills and the ability to connect well with others, building lasting relationships.

Work cooperatively with the supervisory team to meet the goals and contribute to a healthy team environment
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners while upholding confidentiality
Develop and facilitate cultural programming that is appropriate to the intended audience
Attend varied meetings, community events and opportunities to support the programming outcomes
Work independently and as part of a team
Maintain accurate statistical information and records of the planning, curating and attendance of all programs
Remain accountable to SIGN and support the program principles
Be reliable and flexible with scheduling which may include occasional evenings and weekend;
Be organized and timely and work with a high level of integrity and work ethic;
Adopt a safe work approach at work.
Qualifications and experience
Post secondary education in human services, or an equivalent combination of work experience, education, certification and training appropriate to the position;
Experience working with diverse people would be an asset
Sound experience in facilitating and presenting to groups
Valid drivers license and access to a personal motor vehicle is required
A recent and clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
