About this role
The Crisis Intervention Worker provides support, information, and crisis assistance to women and children staying at the Shelter. This position helps maintain a safe, respectful, clean, and supportive environment and assists clients with safety planning, referrals, resources, and daily needs.
The Crisis Intervention Worker must be able to work independently and as part of a team, maintain professional boundaries, complete required documentation, and respond calmly and professionally in crisis situations.
Qualifications
Minimum one-year certificate in a human services field or three years of related experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Respectful and non-judgmental approach when working with clients.
Knowledge of community resources.
First Aid and CPR certification.
Safe Food Handling certification.
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence.
Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Experience working with family violence, trauma, mental health, addictions, child development, life skills, or cultural diversity is considered an asset.
