Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Full-Time & Casu

Bujea Family Foundation Inc. is seeking compassionate, dependable and flexible Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs) to join our Personal Care Home team in Regina, Saskatchewan. We are looking for individuals who are committed to providing respectful, safe and person-centred care to seniors.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and daily living support to residents in accordance with their care plans and PCH requirements; assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, transfers and meals; monitor residents and report changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor/nurse; support medication assistance in accordance with training, policies and PCH requirements; maintain accurate resident documentation; promote dignity, privacy, independence and emotional well-being; assist with activities, recreation and social engagement; prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks; maintain cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, kitchen and equipment; follow food safety, infection prevention, WHMIS and workplace safety practices; and respond appropriately to resident needs and emergencies.

Qualifications

CCA certificate or recognized equivalent required. Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a Personal Care Home, long-term care or community care setting. Current First Aid/CPR certification and Food Safety/Sanitation training referred. Medication Assistance training preferred/required as applicable. Transfer, Lift and Repositioning (TLR) training required. Dementia-care experience or training is preferred. Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check required. Strong communication, teamwork, reliability and documentation skills are essential.
