About this role
The Childcare Supervisor will provide supervision, direction and support to the childcare personnel and children in a residential services (group home) setting. The Childcare Supervisor will be included in the staffing ratio.
Duties & responsibilities
Respect and promote First Nation philosophy, values and beliefs.
Adhere to all 4DCFS Inc. policy & procedure manuals.
Ensures that Behaviour Management Standards are followed.
Provide coaching & mentoring to Child Care Workers.
Orientates new Child Care Personnel and existing staff on policies and procedures.
Responsible to fill and document all child care shifts.
Gather and sign off on timesheets, leave forms, and overtime sheets and forward to the Payroll/HR prior to Cut Off.
Follow proper reporting procedures for any critical incidents.
Forward recommendations regarding shift changes to Manager.
Complete admissions/discharge process
Responsible to ensure that all appointments are completed for all children.
In conjunction with the Manager, Primary workers and the child, coordinate and supervise the development and implementation of the Children In Care Plans on a monthly basis.
Ensure that Individual Crisis Management Plan (ICMP) are completed and updated as needed
Plan mediation/conflict resolution for child when required.
Ensuring accurate Risk Reviews, Safety Contracts and Safety Plans are completed as per standard
Critical incident reporting as per standards.
Issue progressive discipline & disciplinary actions and assist in the dispute resolution process.
