Chef/Kitchen Manager (Remote Northern Mine Site)

This is a WORKING CHEF role, located at a remote fly-in mining facility or exploration camp in Northern Saskatchewan.

• *WE COVER THE COSTS OF YOUR TRANSPORTATION, MEALS, & ACCOMMODATIONS WHILE AT SITE.
• *SHIFT WORK & COMPRESSED WORKWEEKS REQUIRED; SCHEDULES ARE 2-WEEK IN-AND-OUT ROTATIONS WITH 11-HOUR DAYS.
• *MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG & ALCOHOL TEST.

• You are a passionate foodie and a strong team leader.
• You are a Red Seal Chef (preferably, not required).
• You pay attention to detail and have excellent time management.
• You go above and beyond to provide a great experience for our guests.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and manage a culinary team.
• You will manage food costs and inventory.
• Maintain standards for food safety, food storage, rotation, quality and appearance.

Job Requirements - Let's not waste your time

• Experience with kitchen management within the service industry.
• Jobs require shift work at remote sites - mining facilities & exploration camps.
• Knowledge of Vegan, Halal and Gluten allergy variation cooking skills.
• Good knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Camp Manager programs.
• Valid Driver's license preferred.
• Current First responder certificate would be an asset.
• You must be a team leader, who works well with others.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a larger team.
