Cashier Job Description
Cashier is responsible positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service. Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing and totaling customers' purchases, class 5 driving license. Resolves customer issues and answers questions.
Responsibilities
Perform required ID checks on customers and notifies management of violations, concerns, etc.
Restock shelves and fill coolers with new merchandise.
Perform periodic inventory of stock on hand.
Assists customers in selection of various brands of liquors, wines, etc., advises on quantity of purchases for special occasions, and helps customers with carry-outs.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Experience in retail sales, collects payments by accepting cash, debit and credit cards
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Cashier Qualifications/ Skills
Knowledge of the various brands and the common usage of liquors and merchandise sold in liquor stores.
Experience in off-sale liquor establishment
Must be 20 years of age
Friendly and positive attitude
Excellent customer service
Education and Experience Requirements
Required SLGA Serve it Right Certificate
who can work only evening shifts
High school diploma or equivalent
7-11 months of retail experience
Effective communication and customer service skills
