The Lloydminster Housing Authority has an opportunity for a permanent, full time Building Services, Level 2 worker to join their team. If you are ambitious and skilled in building and property maintenance, we would love to hear from you!
As a member of the team, the position contributes to the preventative maintenance, safety and proper upkeep of HVAC systems and equipment and is responsible for the maintenance and caretaking of properties managed by the Housing Authority.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Ensure housing units are rent ready by undertaking regular maintenance and minor repairs including drywall repair, painting, flooring, plumbing and basic electrical
Upkeep interior and exterior common areas including entrances, parking areas, public walks and landscaped areas
Follow preventative maintenance schedules on HVAC systems
Monitor boiler temperatures and pressure gauges
Track inventory and requisition materials and supplies as needed
Qualifications
Grade 12 education and basic computer skills, supplemented with experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination is required
Willingness to obtain Certification in WHMIS and fire extinguishers
Basic working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to participate in a regular, continuous on call program for emergencies, including evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
