Assistant Grocery Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Be responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks and may be involved in the planning for the direction of the department.

Achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses & inventory and execute sales strategies that support the Sherwood Co-ops vision.

Achieve established objectives in terms of brand, service, quality and timeliness of delivery and identify areas for improvement

Assist in recruitment, training, development, coaching and motivating the department team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of three years of retail management experience.

Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

Excellent interpersonal skills, with a special skill of motivating employees to achieve strong results.

A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Analytical and organized; committed to producing quality work.
