The Ministry of Trade and Export Development is seeking an Indigenous leader to serve as Executive Director of the Indigenous Economic Development Branch in Regina or Saskatoon. This executive role advances Indigenous economic reconciliation, supports investment and business growth opportunities, and fosters partnerships that contribute to Saskatchewans economic development. Candidates should have knowledge of Indigenous economic development, reconciliation, and engagement with First Nations and Mtis governments, organizations, and businesses. Experience in the financial sector, including investment principles, business case analysis, due diligence, and lending practices, is required. Knowledge of legislation, policies, and programs affecting First Nations and Mtis peoples, along with strong communication, leadership, collaboration, and critical thinking skills, is essential. A post-secondary degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Knowledge of Saskatchewans economy and the ability to speak an Indigenous language are assets.

Responsibilities include providing strategic advice to senior government officials, supporting Indigenous economic development initiatives, building partnerships, overseeing branch operations and budgets, and promoting economic growth and reconciliation across Saskatchewan.
