The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement is seeking two permanent full-time Procurement Business Partners to join the Procurement Management Division's Construction Branch in Regina. This is an opportunity to contribute to government-wide procurement excellence by leading strategic procurement initiatives, improving procurement practices, and supporting ministries, agencies, and Crown corporations in achieving best-value outcomes.
The ideal candidate is innovative, accountable, collaborative, adaptable, and focused on public service excellence. They are skilled at building relationships, providing strategic advice, and working with senior stakeholders in complex environments while promoting fairness, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Candidates should have knowledge of procurement regulations, thresholds, policies, and procedures, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. A procurement certification, relevant undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience managing complex, end-to-end procurement processes and working in a public sector environment is highly desirable.
Responsibilities include developing and improving procurement models, policies, and processes; managing competitive procurement activities; conducting research, analysis, and strategic sourcing; ensuring regulatory compliance; advising clients on procurement requirements; and applying project management practices to achieve business objectives and procurement outcomes.
