The Ministry of Social Services, Government of Saskatchewan, seeks dynamic Child Protection Workers for SGEU Term 9 months or more roles in Estevan to deliver protective, preventative, and support services to children and families using a family centered case management model. Applicants require a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from an accredited university recognized by SASW/CASW or CASWE. Strong communication, critical thinking, digital literacy, and influencing skills are essential, along with awareness of systemic barriers, socioeconomic challenges, and multicultural perspectives. The role requires flexibility to travel, work evenings and weekends, transport clients, and meet physical demands.
Responsibilities include investigating abuse or neglect, assessing risk, developing intervention plans, managing children in care, coordinating services, supporting court processes, maintaining documentation, advocating for clients, and collaborating with families and community partners.
