Department Information

The Department of Finance has the mandate to provide leadership and direction to the public service in all areas of finance and human resource management. This mandate includes negotiating major financial arrangements with the federal government, providing analysis and advice to the Financial Management Board, and ensuring that financial and information resources are managed effectively, efficiently and economically. This mandate also includes the recruitment and retention of a competent public service that is representative of the people it serves and the development of programs and services that effectively serve the human resource needs of the public service.

Job Information

The Team Lead - Project Management Services leads the project management practice within the Information Systems Shared Service. The Project Management team delivers technology enabled business projects ensuring risk, quality and execution is managed to organizational standards, and ensures projects are completed on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope.

Key Responsibilities

The provision of Project Management services.

Documents, plans and ensures the successful completion of complex projects (typically with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies).

Oversees the management of contracts and 3rd party vendors / suppliers.

Supervises individuals and teams.

Key Qualifications/TAB

Completion of an undergraduate degree in computer science, management information systems or business with 3 years of relevant and progressive experience including 1 year working as a senior project management role delivering complex technology enabled projects.

Equivalencies

Completion of a college/university diploma in computer science, management information systems or business with 5 years of relevant and progressive experience including 3 years working as a senior project management role delivering complex technology enabled projects.

All other equivalencies will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is from $62.38 per hour to $74.51 per hour (approximately $121,641 - $145,295) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
