Job Information
The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Services team in Yellowknife. This is an exciting opportunity to practice a broad scope of physiotherapy, work with diverse populations, and experience the unique lifestyle and culture of Canada's North.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with a wide range of physical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Promote mobility, independence, and improved quality of life through evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
- Prescribe and recommend mobility aids and assistive equipment.
- Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers through health promotion and injury prevention initiatives.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Provide consultation and professional guidance to healthcare colleagues and community partners.
- Support quality improvement, program development, and professional education activities.
- Deliver services through in-person care, telehealth, and outreach clinics.
- Travel to communities across the Northwest Territories to expand access to rehabilitation services and build local healthcare capacity.
Key Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Physiotherapy
Additional Requirements
- Eligible for provisional licensure in a Canadian province
- Ability to obtain full licensure within six months of hire

Labour Market Supplement
The successful incumbent will receive a $10,000 supplement upon hire and an additional $10,000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months. This is a taxable benefit and will be subject to applicable deductions
