Duties

The Technical Lead plays a key role in designing, delivering, and maintaining business solutions that support organizational goals. This position works closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions by defining business functions, roles, processes, organizational structures, and the technology systems that support them.

The incumbent is responsible for shaping business solutions and providing technical leadership to the application development teams that build them, ensuring that solutions are successfully delivered and that business requirements are met from start to finish. They help bridge the gap between business and technology, ensuring solutions are practical, efficient, and aligned with operational needs.

Qualifications

Essential

Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Experience in business analysis, systems analysis, application support, or solution architecture for complex information systems.

Experience developing solution estimates, including resource requirements, infrastructure requirements, long-term support requirements, and budget considerations.

Experience documenting use cases, functional and technical specifications, work plans, business cases, solution proposals, and architecture-related documents.

Experience working with a variety of software development languages, tools, methodologies, standards, architectures, and integration patterns.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment and provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of professionals.

Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create a variety of reports and documentation.

Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization

Desired

Experience in contract management, managing vendors and/or service providers, and monitoring service levels and contract obligations
