The Manitoba Parks is seeking a high-energy candidate who enjoys physical work and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty in the position of a seasosal Labourer position at Spruce Woods Provincial Park.
Duties
Under the direction of the Park Works Supervisor 2 (PK2), the Labourer will perform janitorial duties, physical maintenance tasks and operate and maintain small hand and power tools while safely maintaining public infrastructure within Spruce Woods Provincial Park and occasionally other Provincial Parks or wayside areas within the Region.

Qualifications
Essentials
Experience performing janitorial duties.
Experience performing grounds maintenance tasks.
Ability to work independently and effectively under minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining positive working relationships with the public and staff.
Experience operating and maintaining equipment (such as gas powered trimmers, ride on lawnmowers and ½ ton trucks).
Desired
Experience performing building maintenance tasks.
Knowledge of Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
Conditions of Employment
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must possess and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s licence.
Must be physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position which may require some moderate lifting, bending, walking and working in various types of outdoor conditions.
Must be able to wear personnel protective equipment as/when required.
Must be able to work with paints, solvents and chemicals.
Must be ready, willing and able to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays as well as travel and work in other outlying areas within the Region.
