Duties

The Director, Strategic Asset Management Branch exists to provide senior-level technical and strategic expertise in the planning, analysis, and optimization of government-owned assets. The role supports data-driven, long-term capital and asset lifecycle planning to ensure infrastructure investments align with current and future program needs of client departments.

Qualifications

Essential

Relevant demonstrated experience in asset management, capital planning, infrastructure planning, or building science.

Experience analyzing complex technical and financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, building condition assessments, and capital planning methodologies and experience in applying these in project prioritization and risk planning.

Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing senior-level briefings and recommendations.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse working groups.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex files with minimal supervision.

Conditions of Employment

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with the ability to travel to various locations.

Must complete a satisfactory enhanced security screening.

Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check.

Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check.

Registered as a Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM), or eligible to register.
