Would you like to further develop your career with our exponentially expanding Financial Engineering and Analytics group? Are you up for the challenge to help the most sophisticated Canadian and international clients to solve their quantitative and modelling issues? 

What will your typical day look like?

 

Using your deep technical skills and leveraging our global network of experts, you’ll provide professional advice to our clients in a wide range of situations. 

 

Examples of projects include:

 

  • Performing analytics on large and complex Credit or Fraud risk data to derive insights for our clients
  • Conducting detailed reviews of Credit Risk models (e.g. AIRB, IFRS 9, CECL, adjudication/behavioural scoring models and CCAR models) based on industry best practices
  • Developing Credit or Fraud risk (modeling and/or visualization) solutions based on the needs of our clients

 

You will also be able to learn and work in other quantitative and analytical areas such as forecasting and stress testing, customer behavior modeling, and new innovations such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. 

About the team

 

In Canada, we have hand-picked over ninety financial engineers, data scientists and actuaries and our team has rapidly grown to become the largest quantitative practice in the country.  Most of our team members have advanced degrees in areas including Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Statistics and Physics.  We serve Canada’s most sophisticated companies including the leading banks and insurers.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

 You are someone with:


•    Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience spent within a credit or fraud risk model development and/or analytics team (leadership experience is a bonus)
•    Experience partnering with and presenting to numerous stakeholders to collaboratively accomplish project tasks and make key business decision
•    Solid academic background with a PhD or Master’s Degree in a Quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, , Financial Engineering or other relevant post graduate degree
•    Solid knowledge of common practices in credit risk or fraud risk analytics or modeling, including data engineering and infrastructure, machine learning, report design and visualization;;
•    Ability to program in pertinent languages, such as Excel, SAS, R, and python 
•    Canadian travel required and occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments
