What youll do

The Yard Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the Lumber Yard, ensuring efficient logistics and workflow for receiving, storing and delivering lumber and related products. This includes customer service, inventory control, budgeting, staffing, asset protection, and health and safety. The Manager will provide leadership, direction, and support to ensure the business delivers trusted products and services to the local community.

Ensure established sale targets and margins are obtained.

Explore opportunities for growth and product selection.

Develop relationships with customers and product vendors.

Who you are

You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and:

Youre experienced in leading a team with a focus on customer service.

You have a large knowledge base of the various products sold within the lumber department.

You hold a valid Class 5 drivers license, be willing to obtain and operate equipment such as forklift and skid steer.

You are able to gain a G Endorsement on drivers license to deliver products over 10,000lbs.

You have management experience with a construction background being an asset.

Youre honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
