Volumetric Cement Truck Driver

Truck Operation & On-Site Mixing

Safely drive and operate the volumetric concrete mixer truck to and from job sites in compliance with company, local traffic and provincial transportation regulations.

Calibrate, adjust, and operate mixer controls to produce exact amounts of concrete according to customer and project specifications

Load raw materials (sand, stone/gravel, cement, water, and liquid admixtures) into the truckss respective bins and tanks, typically at the company yard

Discharge and pour concrete efficiently while managing flow rates and coordinating with site finishers or contractors

Inspections & Maintenance

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections, verifying mechanical and safety integrity before every shift

Perform routine daily maintenance, including washing/cleaning the mixing chute and truck surfaces to prevent concrete buildup, greasing components, and checking fluid levels

Troubleshoot minor mechanical or hydraulic issues and report major repair needs to the maintenance team

Communication & Administration

Coordinate delivery schedules and routes effectively with dispatch, project managers, and clients.

Accurately complete delivery tickets, material usage logs, and daily fuel/maintenance sheets.

Represent the company professionally on job sites, providing great customer service and ensuring safe site placement

Qualifications & Requirements

Licensing: Valid Class 1 or 3 with a clean driving abstract.

Experience: Minimum [1-2] years of heavy truck driving experience; previous experience operating volumetric or ready-mix concrete trucks is a strong asset.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 50-100 lbs, climb ladders and stairs on the truck, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
