Village Director

Position Summary: Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Village Director provides operational leadership and administrative oversight for the Saskatoon Community Service Village (SCSV). This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Village, supporting the Board of Directors, overseeing facilities management, financial administration, governance, and strategic initiatives, while fostering collaboration among Village partners.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Village and ensure efficient operation of the organization.

Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and Village operations, supporting the Board and implementing Board decisions.

Participate in strategic planning, organizational development, and risk management.

Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.

Coordinate maintenance, repairs, security, landscaping, custodial services, signage, and contracted services.

Ensure the facility, furnishings, and equipment remain safe, functional, and meet tenant needs.

Oversee organizational finances within Board-approved budgets, including revenues, expenditures, cash flow, bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial record keeping.

Approve expenditures within delegated authority and help development of the annual operating budget.

Prepare and support financial reporting for leadership, the Board, funders, and auditors.

Foster collaborative relationships among Village partners and resolve operational issues as needed.

Lead onboarding of new tenant organizations and represent the Village on committees, working groups, and community initiatives.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in business administration, public administration, nonprofit management or related discipline.

3  5 years of progressive leadership experience.
