About this role
Mosquito School is seeking a dedicated, collaborative, and culturally responsive educational leader to join our school administration team as Vice Principal. The Vice Principal supports the Principal in instructional leadership, student achievement, staff supervision, school operations, student attendance, and the development of a positive school culture. The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, Elders, community members, and staff to promote a safe, inclusive, culturally responsive, and academically successful learning environment. The Vice Principal will assume responsibility for school operations in the Principals absence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide instructional leadership and support effective teaching, curriculum implementation, student assessment, and school improvement.
Promote student success, attendance, wellness, positive behavior, and restorative practices.
Support staff orientation, supervision, evaluation, coaching, and professional development.
Assist with daily school operations, emergency preparedness, transportation procedures, student supervision, and facility oversight.
Build positive relationships with parents, caregivers, Elders, community members, and partner agencies.
Support Indigenous language, culture, land-based learning, and culturally relevant educational programming.
Assist with school planning, budgeting, reporting, record management, and policy compliance.
Promote a safe and healthy learning and working environment.
