User Support Technician

Hourly Wage: $24.00 - 33.00

Main Responsibilities

• Respond to technical support requests by email, telephone, and remote-support tools.
• Identify, document, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, application, account, and connectivity issues.
• Help users install, configure, and use the companys web and mobile applications.
• Consult technical manuals, user guides, and internal documentation to find solutions.
• Provide business-system, network, internet, browser, and mobile-device support.
• Escalate complex issues and software defects to the appropriate technical team.
• Record support requests and solutions in the ticketing system.
• Maintain support documentation and a log of common problems and solutions.
• Provide clear instructions and basic technical training to users.
• Test solutions and follow up to confirm that issues have been resolved.
• Recommend improvements based on recurring technical problems and user feedback.

Qualifications

• College diploma/university degree in information technology, computer science, computer programming or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a related role
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, mobile applications, browsers, user accounts, and internet connectivity.
• Strong customer-service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Ability to document solutions, manage multiple requests, and establish priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
