Truck Service Writer

Southern Industrial & Truck is looking for a Truck Service Writer to join our team.  The candidate must be motivated, energetic and organized.  He / She must have excellent oral communication skills to deal with customers over the phone and in person as well as strong writing skills for writing work orders and invoicing.  The candidate must be comfortable working on computers with Microsoft Office as well as windows programs.  Experience in the truck industry and truck terminology would be an asset but is not necessary.  Applicant must be able to work well in a team environment.  On the job training will be provided.

Duties include

• Greet customers
• Identifying customers needs by asking diagnostic questions
• Discussing estimated cost of repairs and maintenance and time frame of work to be done
• Securing customer agreement for work to be performed
• Maintain good working relationship with shop foreman for scheduling and status of repairs
• Answer service inquiries
• Provide documents for warranty claims to warranty advisor in a timely manner
