Track Maintenance Labourer

We are currently looking for 1 labourer starting, as soon as possible.  The job would entail performing general labour duties in a outside environment.  Labourer would be responsible for various tasks in a safe-oriented environment.  At times the labourer would work in high rail way traffic areas.  Wearing protective clothing is mandatory.

Working Conditions

•   Work outdoors in varying weather and environment conditions.
•   Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds (22kg) and occasionally up to 85 pounds (39kg).
•   Exposure to heat, cold, water, snow, oil, grease, fumes and noise.

Employment Requirements

•   Valid drivers license with clear drivers abstract.
•   Class 1A or Air Endorsement would be an asset but not a condition to employment.
•   Clear a drug and alcohol assessment.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

•   Demonstrate good team work and maintain positive interaction with others.
•   Good reading comprehension, good verbal and writing skills in English.
•   Ability to determine the condition of objects/parts for wear and/or defects.
