Tile Installer

Panda Floor Contracting is looking for a skilled Tile Installer for contract work. The ideal candidate is experienced in tile installation, has strong attention to detail, and can complete work independently to a high standard.

Required Skills and Abilities

Strong hands-on skills and experience with tile installation

Measure accurately and calculate tile quantities

Read and follow measurements, layouts, and installation instructions

Skilled in cutting and fitting ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other types of tile

Prepare surfaces properly, including leveling and waterproofing

Knowledge of proper use and application of mortar, thin-set, adhesive, grout, and caulking

Create clean, straight, and properly aligned tile layouts

Make precise cuts around corners, edges, fixtures, outlets, drains, and other obstacles

Install tile on floors, walls, backsplashes, showers, and other surfaces

Identify and correct uneven surfaces or installation issues

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Work independently and manage tasks efficiently

Troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions on site

Work safely and properly use hand and power tools

Good physical ability to kneel, bend, stand, lift, and work for extended periods

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Reliable, responsible, and able to meet project timelines

Good communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

Previous tile installation experience required

Relevant trade experience or training is an asset

Experience with residential renovation projects is an asset

Valid driver's licence is an asset

Own tools are an asset
