About this role
The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing an organizations IT infrastructure, ensuring Mitsubishi Power Canadas systems run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, maintain, and optimize core IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software.
Perform routine system updates, patches to ensure maximum uptime and data security.
Maintain data backup and disaster recovery systems to ensure rapid restoration of critical systems.
Provision, configure, and deploy employee workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups in Active Directory.
Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues, delivering prompt resolutions.
Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software, and software licenses.
Research, evaluate, and implement new technology solutions that drive operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a technical lead and manage assigned IT projects.
Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
A technical or college certificate in Information Technology or Information Technology Administration.
Ability to support Microsoft Windows Servers and Workstations.
2-5 years of IT system administration experience.
Effective communication including an ability to verbally explain or present technical information in a clear manner to executive.
Strong personal leadership skills and initiative.
Excellent attention to detail.
