Steel Sales Representative / Office Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Steel Sales Representative / Office Assistant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with the sale of steel and metal products, preparing orders and invoices, and providing excellent customer service. This position also includes general office and administrative duties, so strong computer skills and attention to detail are important.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with the selection and sale of steel and metal products.
• Provide product information, pricing, and customer service.
• Prepare sales orders, invoices, and receipts.
• Answer phone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and assist walk-in customers.
• Enter and maintain sales and customer information in computer systems.
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel for daily office tasks and record keeping.
• Perform data entry and maintain organized records and files.
• Assist with general office and administrative duties.
• Prepare and maintain daily sales and transaction records.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales and office area.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of steel and metal products is an asset.
• Good computer skills and the ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn new computer programs and office systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and punctual.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Must have reliable transportation.
