Spruce Home After Class Program (SHACP)  Spruce Home, SK

Start Date: As soon as possible

Starting Wage: $23/hour; negotiable based on experience/qualifications

Term: Until June 23, 2027, with opportunity for annual renewal

SHACP is seeking a dependable, caring, organized and enthusiastic Program Supervisor to oversee our before- and after-school program located within Spruce Home School.

We are open to applicants interested in either the full morning/afternoon schedule or afternoons only.

Hours (school days, MondayFriday)

Morning & Afternoon: 7:158:15 a.m. and 3:006:00 p.m.

Afternoon Only: 3:006:00 p.m.

Additional paid hours are available for approved planning, grocery/supply shopping and other program duties.

Responsibilities include

Providing safe, active supervision of children

Planning fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities

Creating a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment

Overseeing daily program routines and operations

Providing direction to staff and youth helpers

Coordinating snacks, groceries and supplies

Maintaining attendance, incident and program documentation

Communicating professionally with families, school staff and the SHACP Board

Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries

Following SHACP policies, safety expectations and Board direction

Maintaining clean, organized and secure program spaces

Applicants should be reliable, organized, patient, able to work independently, take initiative and confidently provide leadership. Experience in childcare, education, recreation or youth programming is an asset.

A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check is required. First Aid/CPR is an asset; SHACP will cover required training if needed.
