Septic Service/ Operator

Under the direct supervision of the Public Works Manager, One Arrow First Nation is seeking applications to fulfill a full-time septic service/ operator. This role will be responsible to operate vehicle and collect sewage from residences in the community, and transport for disposal in an appropriate and safe manner.

Duties

Perform daily safety and maintenance checks; Operate vehicle for residential services as per requirements and demand; Clean trucks as scheduled and/or required; Advise the Public Works Manager of any requirements for maintenance or repairs; Maintain daily records of collection services; Pump out septic tanks of residential buildings, businesses, and other facilities; Dispose of sewage according to set policies and procedures; Keep equipment clean as per established standards; Perform other related duties.

Qualifications

Knowledge of truck and safety equipment; Knowledge of sewage collection and disposal; Knowledge of sewage pump out procedures; Valid Class IA driver's license is an asset;

Other: Physical work environment outside, at times in extreme cold and heat; Exposed to unpleasant sights and smells; May be required to work on a rotation or on-call; Must possess a current valid Saskatchewan drivers licence and reliable vehicle;
